Open to student artists in grades 6–12 attending public and private schools across Rhode Island, the exhibition celebrates a wide range of artistic expression across numerous art forms and disciplines. Art teachers play an essential role in the exhibition, selecting and submitting student artwork for consideration. Through this juried showcase, students have the opportunity to share their work with a broader audience, gain recognition for their creative achievements, and celebrate the diversity of artistic voices represented in Rhode Island schools.
Submitted works are evaluated by a jury, with prestigious Anchor Awards presented to outstanding student artists in each category. These awards recognize exceptional originality, artistic skill, and the development of a unique personal vision or voice.
The RI Art Anchor Awards celebrates the importance of visual arts education and the next generation of creative thinkers, makers, and artists in Rhode Island.
